Municipal private higher education institutes:
In order to seriously implement the spirit of “The People’s Republic of China Private Education Promotion Law”, “Private Education Promotion Regulations of Shaanxi Province” and the General Office of State Council “Circular on Strengthening Standard Management of Private Universities and Guiding the Healthy Development of Private Higher Education” (No. 101 [2006] of the general office of the State Council), further regulate the school behavior of Municipal private higher education institutions and guide and promote their healthy development, according to “Shaanxi Provincial Setting Standard of Private Non-degree Higher Education School (for trial implementation)” and the annual exam results of private schools in 2008 and their run situation, after serious research, the identification results of 2009 enrollment qualification of private higher education institutions is informed as follows:
First, Xi’an Taoli Tourism & Cuisine Institute and other 23 institutes were permitted to enroll students in 2009;
Second, the Admission eligibility of Xi’an Oriental Technology Training Institute and other seven institutes were abolished in 2009;
Third, Xi’an institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and other three institutes were exempted form all school activities.
All the private higher education institutions should follow relevant laws and regulations consciously and strictly, and raise awareness, improve the school management, take strict measure on enrollment, regulate school enrollment and school operation effectively, and strive to improve school level according to the arrangement of the municipal Education Bureau.
The institutes permitted to enroll students should fully acquire their deficiencies in schooling, further improve schooling conditions, and strive to achieve a higher goal; the institutes banned to enroll students in 2009 shall not enroll privately, or shall be punished without toleration; the institutes exempted form all school activities shall not carry out any activity related to education and teaching, or shall be punished by law.
